ChinaGoo ("we", "our", or "the App") helps families plan travel in China. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.

Information we collect

• Account: If you sign in with Apple, we receive an app-specific Apple user identifier and optional email/name from Apple.
• Profile preferences: Optional child age and AI usage counts used to apply daily limits.
• User content: AI chat inputs, and saved trip dates, places, family age preferences, hotel details, booking/progress marks and notes.
• Usage: Basic product analytics (e.g. city opened, attraction viewed) when enabled.

How we use information

• Provide attractions, guides, AI planning, and saved trips
• Apply daily AI usage limits
• Improve reliability and fix bugs
• Comply with law and respond to support requests

Third-party services

We use Supabase (auth & data), Apple Sign In, and optional analytics. AI requests are sent to our backend and a language model provider to generate responses. Images may load from our CDN. The App does not currently process payments or In-App Purchases.

Children

The App is designed for parents and guardians planning family travel. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without parental involvement. Child ages and family preferences are entered by the parent and used in their travel plans. They can be included in account copies and family-pack files the parent chooses to export.

Retention & deletion

You may delete your account in Profile, which removes its server account, profile and saved trips. After server confirmation, the App also removes that account’s trip copies on this phone, including queued changes and saved snapshots; interrupted local cleanup retries when you reopen the App. Guest trips and device family preferences remain separate until you remove them in the App. Exported or shared files cannot be recalled by account deletion; remove your own exported files in Files. Usage events follow the retention period below.

Usage and feedback choices

When usage sharing is enabled, we send structured action types, city/place codes, a randomly generated app identifier and, when relevant, a trip identifier to our Supabase backend. Trip identifiers may be associated with signed-in saved trips. These events do not contain chat text, children's names or identity documents, hotel addresses, or precise device location. We do not use them for advertising tracking.

You can turn off automatic collection in Profile. Optional helpfulness answers and information reports are sent only when you submit them, including when automatic collection is off. Reports contain the selected field/reason and content review date. Offline submissions are queued on the phone and retried; queue entries older than 30 days are removed. Server events are scheduled for deletion after 90 days through daily cleanup, with additional cleanup during ingestion.
